Missrepresentation movie blog
This documentary really opened my eyes to what the world around me really is like. I was shocked to find out that some men could really be that ignorant. To hear what some of the men had to say about women made me sick to my stomach. The fact that women are labelled so much, and have to be a certain way or they won't be accepted in society now a days makes me so mad. Even though the guys are saying these horrible things about is girls, I still feel for them because they have pressure to of how they should look. Guys and girls shouldn't care about what they like or try to have a "perfect" so they can fit in, but instead they should start to care about their personality and how what they do affect others. The fact that just by seeing a women on tv that has the "perfect" body makes us girls feel so insecure and torture our selfs to look that way just so we can be accepted in society now a days makes me really upset. I've always been brought up being told that you should be proud of yourself and be proud of the way you are. I've been taught that you should think for yourself and not care about others opions as much. I'm sure that many girls and guys were brought up that way but with the society that were living in right now I don't think that's possible for many people. I was one of those girls who at one point broke down and started to starve myself to look a certain way, so when I see those people that are in that issue now a days it breaks my heart because I know exactly how they feel and how hard it is to feel proud of yourself. Media needs to stop telling is how to look or what we should wear or what we should do. We should be in control of what we want to wear or look like and do what we want to do, not what others think we should.
